November 25, 2014 to post treatment of Russia comes stamp "State Reserve "Kerzhensky"
State Reserve "Kerzhensky" was founded April 23, 1993.
It is located in the middle basin of the river Kerzhenets (a tributary of the Volga), in the Borskiy and Semenovskiy districts of Nizhny Novgorod region.
Kerzhensky reserve created to protect valuable animals (beaver, otter, desman, capercaillie, golden eagle, and others) and rare plants (Gypsophila paniculata (baby's breath), Pulsatilla patens, etc.). About 144 species of birds nest at its territory . Since 2002, the territory of the reserve is part of the biosphere reserve "Nizhny Novgorod Zavolzhe."
The stamp depicts a landscape of State Reserve "Kerzhensky."
