Moldovan folk dance is a dance art of Moldovan people. The Moldovan folk dance preserved some elements of the ancient dance traditions. The most common dance is “Khora”. Since the end of the XIX century “Zhok” dance became very popular. Moldovan folk dances are divided into everyday and ritual dances.

“Yally” (Azer. Yallı) is an Azerbaijani folk dance, which is one of the most popular dances of rural collective round dances. “Yally” is performed as a cheerful round dance, often accompanied by choral singing. Dancers hold hands or shoulders of each other and make simultaneous rhythmic movements, raising and lowering their hands. There is a leading person among the group of dancers, whose movements are repeated by the rest of the group.
