The letter was sent from the Russian-occupied territory of the Donetsk region of Ukraine, the so-called Donetsk People's Republic, from the central post office in the city of Horlivka (Gorlovka) to St. Petersburg. Of greatest interest is not only the mixed franking of postage payments with definitives and commemorative stamps at the same time, but also their cancellation with a postmark not of the "Russian Post", but of the "Donbass Post" of the self-proclaimed republic.
