Russia - DPRK. 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation

On August 28, 2015 Post of Russia will issue a stamp dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation in a joint issue with the DPRK. The stamp illustrates the Arc de Triomphe in Pyongyang which symbolizes the victory over the Japanese occupation.

On August 28, 2015 Post of Russia will issue a souvenir sheet with one stamp which illustrates the coat of arms of the city of Kazan. The stamp belongs to the "Coats of arms of cities and federal subjects of the Russian Federation" series. Coat of arms of the Republic of Tatarstan is illustrated on the sidelines of the souvenir sheet.

On August 26, 2015 Post of Russia will issue a stamp dedicated to the 100th anniversary of birth of the fighter pilot Boris Safonov who was named a Hero of the Soviet Union twice. The stamp illustrates a portrait of the pilot with the aircraft I-16 on the background, flying which he made 109 sorties and shot down 17 enemy aircrafts.

The original ceramic tiles from the villages of Abramtsevo (XIX-XX cent.), Moscow Region’s Turygino (XXI century), Yaroslavl (XVII-XVIII centuries) and Moscow (XIX-XX centuries) are illustrated there.
